Updates from Tony and Ann:
News April 2010
“Tony and I are off to join the Africa Mercy in Togo 13th April - 20th
May. We will be spending most of the time traveling around the
Country, starting in the far north, screening potential patients and
sending them to Lome for surgery on the ship. Tony will go prepared to
carry out any surgeries he can do in the local hospitals and clinics.
The Africa Mercy is due to be in extended 6 months shipyard for the latter half of 2010 getting a new generator so we’ll be doing something else away from the ship during the refit. We are organising a big (for us) off-ship outreach in the Gambia March/April 2011, involving an advance 2 week visit there in November 2010.”
Prayer requests from Tony and Anne:
1. That people here would hear, understand and respond to the
two "hands" of the Gospel - physical & spiritual.
2. Wisdom in clarifying the vision of what the Lord would have us do
after our present commitments. We believe He is leading us into more
land-based teaching trips.
3. Safety for our patients, with wisdom in knowing what sort of
surgery we can carry out safely in the different off-ship locations.
4. Safety as we travel frequently around West Africa, and back to the UK.
