Dental Mission Work in Zambia

Saturday, 10 March - an informal meeting with tea from 3 pm to 6 pm.

An opportunity to meet Dental Therapist, Elastus Chonde, visiting from Ndola, Zambia. Chonde, who has been of great support to Mission dentist, Andy Patching, is visiting for a week's international dental conference in London with the aim of expanding dental mission in Zambia and similar third world countries.

 

Before he returns to Zambia he has been invited to share his experiences and future hopes for his ministry in providing dental and spiritual care to some of Zambia's poor.

 

This meeting is suitable for all interested in the work and is kindly hosted by Netherfield Chapel and supported by the Christian Dental Fellowship.

East Anglia North and South- Saturday, 19th May - From 10.00 am

11.00 - Colin de Lucchi, who practises in North Walsham and Stalham, two Norfolk market towns, will give a presentation on his call and dental work in China over the past few years. He hopes to give a PowerPoint presentation, and a Q&A session.  

12.00 - Some recreational activity, possibly a treasure hunt in the garden

13.00 - Lunch

14.30 - Discussion on witnessing in the surgery

15.15 - Tea

East Midlands - Saturday, 19th May - From 12.30

Meet at Wollaton Hall, Gardens & Deer Park, Wollaton Park, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire NG8 2AE. Bring a picnic (bring your own) and then we will have a walk and or games.  Families welcome.  Wollaton Hall is also open to view and there is a lake and deer to look at in the Park.  We shall meet on the grass next to the car park at the bottom of the hill from the house. Meet at Malcolm and Bridget's house in Stuart Road, Plymouth PL1 5LH for lunch at 12noon. The afternoon will be variable depending upon weather and who comes. The afternoon will include mission update and prayer, gentle walk to a nearby park or short journey to 'The Hoe', a ride on the 'Plymouth Eye' or an ice cream and  cup of tea in the historic Barbican. Your choice on the day!
