CDF is an inter-denominational association of Christians working in dentistry.
Our aim is to support and encourage you during your degree and put you in touch with other dentists, students and overseas partners that can do the same. We can help you plan an overseas elective and support you when you go (practically, prayerfully and possibly financially). We are also here to support and help you for VT and beyond.
BDS or BChD isn't always easy, and that's why Christian fellowship is so important during the ups and downs. Joining the CDF is only £10 for students!

Nick Clifford
I graduated from Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in June 2011 and I’m currently completing my DF1 year in London within a General Dental Practice. This August I shall commence an SHO post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. My clinical interests include Head and Neck Cancer, Clinical Research and Reconstructive Surgery. I hope to start Medical School next year.
I delight in the Lord and his Word. My journey both to and through Dental School was an incredible testimony of Gods greatness and faithfulness prevailing against seemingly impossible challenges. I have truly come to understand that without God I can achieve nothing. I am excited about representing the students within CDF and eagerly desire to see their love for God go from strength to strength.
CDF is a tremendous resource to the Dental Student and I only wish I had been more involved as a student. It offers a great source of advice and support. This promises to be an exciting year. Both Yolande and myself shall be working hard to organise meetings, talks, elective support and much more for you. The Annual Conference is a wonderful weekend and it would be fantastic to have a large student representation this year!
Outside of dentistry I enjoy cycling, rugby and spending time with my twin brother! (In case you are wondering ... he isn’t a Dentist!).
Yolande Mbappe
I became a Christian a year before starting dental school and I am grateful for God's perfect timing as I would not have made it without His clear guidance and support.
I first completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL in 2006 before gaining my BDS at Barts and The London in July 2011. I am currently completing my foundation year in the seafaring town of Southampton.
Aside from my love of (nearly) all things dental related, I am an avid reader, enjoy running and can often be found trying, though not yet successfully, to learn to play my guitar!
